A Travel Lens That Surprised Me – Real-World Review of the Sony 20-70mm f/4

As a professional photographer, I use different lenses for different jobs—ultra-wide for real estate, fast primes for portraits, and so on. But when it came time to pack a single lens for my honeymoon across Europe, I brought the Sony 20-70mm f/4, not quite knowing what to expect.

What I discovered was one of the most versatile travel lenses I’ve ever used.

While this isn’t the lens I’d reach for on a real estate shoot (I’ve got wider tools for that), I was seriously impressed by its sharpness, light weight, and how well the 20mm wide end worked in tight European cities and towering cathedrals.
